The Wilson County Schools Secondary Education department provides leadership, coaching, resources, and support to the district’s five middle schools, three comprehensive high schools, two early colleges, and one alternative school.  Our staff supports highly engaged instruction in the classroom through professional development and targeted training opportunities. Specific areas of PD include Learning-Focused Lesson Design, STEM integration, MTSS support, and Reading/Writing Workshops.  The staff in Secondary Education also works closely with the secondary schools to assist with the writing, implementation, and monitoring of comprehensive school improvement plans.
