The Wilson County Schools Exceptional Children (EC) Department is committed to providing a free and appropriate education designed to meet the individual needs of all exceptional students. The EC Department provides special education and related services according to the Individuals with Disabilities Act and the state laws detailed in the Procedures Governing Programs and Services for Children with Special Needs. Wilson County Schools currently serves approximately 1,000 students with special needs who range in age from 3-21.
